Cyclists completing their CT route including the wilderness detours are considered completers, though some cyclists may also choose to return to wilderness areas to hike or ride horses through un-cycled sections to see it all.Īn end-to-end traveler who followed either the CT Collegiate East or CT Collegiate West is considered a Completer. Travel may have been accomplished by hiking, cycling, or horseback riding or any combination of the three. The Colorado Trail Foundation recognizes anyone who reports completion of the entire Trail as a “Colorado Trail Completer.” We use the honor system and trust those who apply for completion status have traveled the entire length of the CT between Denver and Durango. (We are enthusiastic about providing your completer certificate and listing to help celebrate your accomplishment, and also with hope that you’ll consider becoming involved as a volunteer and/or donor…we could sure use your help.) CT Completer Application The great majority of Colorado Trail thru-hikers begin at Waterton Canyon Trailhead near Denver. We wish it wasn’t the case, but mailing your certificate could take us weeks, especially in light of both Covid challenges and increasing numbers of enthusiasts we’re trying to help.
